Welcome to Rockhampton Innovative Networking Group aka RING
Where communication means Success
The Rockhampton Innovative Networking Group aka RING was founded in 2009 by a group of like-minded business people who saw the need for strong business partnerships among the city’s business community.
Their vision was to establish a not for profit networking opportunity for business owners “with a difference”. Rockhampton has such a diverse range of Business & Industry there was a need to create an environment where everyone was welcome and business owners could meet, connect and actively engage each other whilst benefiting the community at the same time.
Idea became reality when the very first RING was held at Rockhampton Leagues Club 23rd June 2009. More than 50 business owners attended the first networking event and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Proceeds from the events have been donated to charities. Since the first event more than $20,000 for partnering charities such as Life Education Qld, Camp Quality, Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service, Cancer Council Qld and the Royal Flying Doctor Service has been raised.
From the initial RING Networking event, RING has grown to include support services for the local business community such as business event promotion, sponsorship recognition, donation programs and syndicate advertising features.
A spin-off RING is Communication to Careers (C2C) which links grade 12 students with business representatives to help build the students confidence and communication skills. Helpful for when they gain an interview with a potential employer.
RING is staffed solely by volunteers; local business people who freely donate their time to help build contacts and relationships which helps build stronger communities.
